YOUR HOT ROD WOODIE SOURCE.. Woodies are hot!!! There is something cool about these street rod wagons. Maybe because they stand out from the rest of the crowd or that there are so few of them at the major rod events. A hot rod woodie will always be the crowd pleaser....The Woodie Works builds unique one off (Phantom) street rod woodie bodies. Each woodie is custom designed and built to make it a one of a kind street rod. ...The bodies are based on your car using either an existing car (by cutting the rear section from the cowl on back off, a woodie conversion ) or mounting the body on a new frame and use a fiberglass cowl. Then a steel inner structure is built giving the body strength and ease of mounting and removing body panels. The next step is to cut, plane, shape, fit, sand and cut joints for each piece of hard maple also making sure so that there 5 mm door and tailgate gaps. The doors are then mounted with hidden hinges and use rotary latches that are activated by hidden outside door handles. Inside the door, Power windows are setup (unheard of in a woodie) and wood interior panels place to hide the inner steel and gives the inside a real woodie look.

...the second is a limited Hot Wheel Convention car.(under 3000 made). just for the collectors..and was modeled after the black car..
